Everything "tRue BeaUtY" pretended or aspired to be, way shorter and way more powerful delivery.It delivers way more than what i thought possible, and feels fully realized without needing more length . Realistic adult romance with its realistic adult complications. Between characters that feel incredibly alive. That makes it great but... that is not particularly rare. What elevates it above everything else is the themes it shows and develops. Emotional abuse, sexism, look ism, bullying, isolation, loneliness, gaslighting, the long term effects all this has in adult people, and how it (not so) subtly, fucks them up. But also how they recover from it. How they fight against it. How even the most broken, abused and damaged person can not only recover, but grow strong above what they were no matter their past. If you were (like me) a victim of anything of the above, read this, it will be cathartic.If you are a man that can't really understand women, read this. It will give you a good deal of information you wont really get otherwise.Hands down, top five things i 'v read. Competing in the same bracket as Berzerk and Steins gate.
