Can we take a moment to appreciate the whole bird in a cage motif throughout this chapter? Not only has the art improved dramatically, but the artists is now using the setting and characters' clothing as a metaphor?? Man, I love this art! Lucia's whole outfit is adorned with feathers, making her look like a pretty dove. She's surrounded by empty cages, making Arthur's proposal feel like he's trapping her in a cage for the rest of her life (which he is). Sure Arthur has some feathers on him too, but he's far less trapped in this situation.
