Summary

The main character, Kwak Chung, who was an orphan from birth and was born in Chengdu, suffered from polio as a child and was disabled in one leg. He sold rice cakes to merchants returning from the West for a living while being ignored by all kinds of uncomfortable bodies, and one day on his way home, he accidentally picked up a lamp. I rubbed it a few times because I thought it would make money if I sold it. “I will grant you three wishes, my lord.” A wish-fulfilling lamp fairy appeared. “Are you sure you’ll grant all your wishes?” Kwak Chung’s first wish is money, not just money, but also enormous wealth such as silver, gold, silk, and jewelry. My second wish is to change into a tall, strong built, and handsome and strong man. And the third wish is… “Let me go back to before I met you.” That’s how Kwak Chung’s infinite return journey begins! 오늘도 램프를 주웠다

I don't remember her blaming /him/ really. She blames the whole family with a particular intense hatred for his mother and grandfather. She knows he won't just abandon his mother and this is probably the exact reason why. She doesn't want to just take him in and treat him like another son when there's a poisonous viper in his ear that could hurt her and her son again and again because bs noble rules and lack of solid evidence means they can't just pack her in a box and drop her off in the middle of the ocean. Keeping him at arms length means keeping her actual son safe and she's going to chose her own son over the son of the woman that tried to kill them both. As sad and unfair to him as it is that means he get left by the wayside especially when his paternity is in question now

Yes, I'm calling that pathetic.  He is supposed to rule a nation.  When, in the history of ever, has there been a king(who is not a puppet-monarch) who was allowed to be weak and emotional? The royal family are public figures,  they are an example to their people. In those times that are depicted the royal crown was still a ruling body in some countries and now tell me, who would trust a king who falls into his emotions instead of being responsible for his people? About love: this is bullshit simply because he essentially abandoned the son that the so called love of his life birthed for him instead of protecting a last remaining part of the woman he supposedly loved oh so much. Members of the royal family are only allowed to be "human" to a certain extent thus they are trained and educated from a very early age.And about saying that I don't know what loss of a loved one is- you are wrong. I have lost a lot of very precious for me people, but that is not justification to throw away your own life, especially if you have someone left to protect.
