He said that eventough Lizbeth be an empress, from Alexander point of view, that position is nothing but a torture since he never intend to love anyone in the beginning
-Alexander dont want to say the reason why it is must Lizbeth to Liana, so she investigate by her own and findout what the oracle said that the next emperor will come from Norden lady womb
-Liana come to Alexander again and ask him to marry her instead. Alexander refuse since it is better for her to find a good man and live happilly than become his empress, but Liana said that she cannot do that since she no longer believe in love, so meeting a good man is not longer her option either. -Alexander never “sleep” with Lizbeth. In fact, he despise her since she remind him with his father mistress. He even doesnt want to escort her in public and he always only escort Liana. In their marriage ceremony (which is very weird with 1 husband and 2 wives), Alexander held Liana hand while walking through altar and Lizbeth walk alone sourly behind them.All the time, Alexander treat Lizbeth like she doesnt exist and Lizbeth burn to anger everytime it happend.
-The poison incident happend when Liana and Lizbeth go to volunteer in the orpanage. Lizbeth is put a poison in Liana soup but Alexander come and eat the soup instead of Liana. The truth is, Alexander and Liana has a suspicion that Lizbeth will try to poison Liana, and Liana plan to let it be to bring down Lizbeth. But Alexander come and he ate the soup because he is worried that Liana body will not able to endure the poison. In the result, Alexander fell unconscious for 5 days.
-After the poison incident, Lizbeth is dethroned to be a maid under Liana. At first, Alexander want to exile Lizbeth but the duke Killen (Albert uncle) step in and make Alexander has no other choice than to make Lizbeth a maid
-Alexander and Liana start getting close little by little and Liana is the one who is first aknowledge her love to Alexander. At first, Liana want to erase the feeling since from the beginning they already made a promise not to love each other, but no matter what she tried, she cannot erase her feeling. So she decide to confess her feeling to Alexander
-Alexander very confused and doesnt know what to do upon hearing Liana confesssion. He has a trauma becauss his father married his mother in the name of love and when the love is cool down, he cheat her with another woman and kill his mother who once his father loved. He do not want to rely on a feeling that will cool down and then lose his precious life partner (Liana) because of that. Thats why he said to Liana that he cannot give her his love since he has no planning to give to anyone
-Liana said she understand his circumstances and will wait until he open his heart to her since she will not give up.
-Alexander start to avoiding Liana everytime they meet accidentally eventough he still come to Liana room everynight to avoid people gossip
-By the way, Alexander hasnt “sleep” with Liana because at their first night, Liana tremble due to her trauma with George affair, so Alexander decide to wait until her ready. And of course he also not “sleep” with Lizbeth, he despise her for what she did to Liana, he never give a glance to her. He feel grateful that he has another option (Liana) because if Liana still become George wife, he need to see his child to be born from an incestuous woman
-The reason why Alexander avoid Liana is because at the moment Liana confess her love,Alexander begin to notice his feeling too and he avoid her to try to erase that feeling. But, he then understand what Liana said about how she try to erase her feeling but cannot do that at the end
-In the ball, Liana maids make her wear a dress that reveal her shoulder and when Alexander see it, he put his jacket to Liana since he dont like people stare at her. When they are alone in the garden, Liana then confront Alexander for the reason why Alexander avoid her, and Alexander tell her that he avoid her because he is trying to not love her. He tell her that he will keep trying to do that, so they can still have a good partner relationship for lifetime.
-Liana feel really sad to hear that, she is afraid that in the end Alexander, unlike her, will succes to erase his feeling. She went to the balcony alone and drink some glass of champagne and then she cry
-Alexander who see that Liana hasnt come back for along time start to search for her and found her in the balcony crying. He run to her worried and ask her if she cry because of him. Liana said no because she doesnt want Alexander to blame his self. She then ask Alexander to leave her alone for a moment. When Liana see Alexander leaving, she then start drink her champagne again and she is very drunk and it cause her to fall down from the balcony. Alexander actually still not leaving and still watch her from some distance because he is worried, when he see that Liana lose her balance and will fall down, he run to catch her but its too late. He then jump from the balcony and see Liana unconscious with blood flow from her head. He very panic and afraid that he will lose her forever. He cannot imagine how he will live after that
-Liana is coma for 1 month and every day Alexander will come to see Liana. He really regret it that he is too stuborn to say his love to her, while in fact he already love her maybe even way before she love him.
-Liana handmaiden (who is also Alexander’s mother’s handmaiden) said to Alexander that everyone has different kind of love. And he can has love that is different with his parents. Alexander then realize that there is another possibility. He never think that he has that option since he grow up only see his parents love, which ended very traumatic to him

Alexander in order to protect Liana, make a command that Empress palace is under Liana’s handmaiden authority instead of queen.Because of the tight security in the empress palace, duke killen then asked Lizbeth to kill the empress using poison needle that have slow effect and Liana will dead after a day. Lizbeth doesnt want Liana to wake up so she agrees to do it. Lizbeth come to Liana room pretend to be concerned about Liana and search the opporunity to poison her. Thankfully Alexander come right before she inject the needle. While Alexander and Lizbeth argue, Liana regain her conscious

My God that has to be the most humiliating thing ever. Just having to walk behind the main couple and you’re just standing behind them while they’re giving their vows. That had to be the longest walk down the aisle in the history of mankind.
