    In most history, the king and queens never really stayed in a room together. Now I am making a blanket statement so that doesn't actually apply to every kingdom. However, most of the time it is a sign of wealth to have the king and queen have their own quarters/areas in the kingdom. You also have to take into account, many times it is a marriage of convenience where the kingdom takes in someone for the betterment of the kingdom. So even the act of having a child is planned out. For us in modern days it just seems weird.
